I am thrilled and honored to step into the role of CEO at the Gilmer College and Career Academy! As I begin this exciting new chapter, I want to express my heartfelt enthusiasm for the journey that lies ahead.

The opportunity to lead an institution that is dedicated to bridging the gap between academic excellence and career readiness is truly inspiring. Our Academy stands as a beacon of innovation and opportunity, and I am eager to contribute to its continued success and growth.

Prior to being selected as the CEO of the Gilmer College and Career Academy, I served as the Assistant Principal of Haymon-Morris Middle School (Barrow County) during the 2023-2024 school year. I spent several years as AgSTEM Coordinator at Archer High School in Gwinnett County. As the AgSTEM Coordinator, I started the agriculture and engineering programs at Archer High School. We worked extensively with the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Mercer University, NASA, Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful, and the Georgia Association of Conservation District to enhance the AgSTEM program. My educational career has included time in Dekalb County, Gwinnett County, and Barrow County.

I'm proud to say I'm a triple DAWG from the University of Georgia. I received my BSEd in Technological Studies, MSEd in Occupational Studies, and Ed.S in Workforce Education and Leadership. I've been married to Melissa Stoker for 30 years. We are proud parents of two wonderful children (Savannah and Hudson), that also includes our son-in-law (AJ) and granddaughter Margaret.
